When a child struggles with reading, schools often begin a process called Response to Intervention (RTI). RTI is an important framework designed to identify students who need additional support and provide increasingly targeted instruction based on their progress.
However, the process takes time. Before a child qualifies for more intensive intervention or a comprehensive evaluation, schools typically gather data, monitor progress, and implement multiple levels of support. While these steps are well intentioned, they can take months, or even an entire school year.
For a child who is already struggling, every month matters. Reading is the foundation for learning, and delays can make it more difficult for children to keep up academically while also affecting their confidence and motivation.
Private tutoring doesn't replace the support your child receives at school. It complements it.
By beginning individualized, evidence-based instruction right away, we can address your child's specific literacy needs while the school's RTI process continues. Early intervention helps close learning gaps sooner, builds confidence, and gives children the skills they need to become successful, independent readers.
